Teaching, playing music, my art, photography, my kids.<\/em><\/em><\/p>\n\n\n\n

How did your experience at Huronda shape your personal and\/or professional development?<\/p>\n\n\n\n

I became a teacher, specifically a high school visual art teacher. I have always loved connecting with young people and have done so for my 26-year teaching career.<\/em><\/em><\/p>\n\n\n\n

Are there any specific skills or lessons you learned at camp that you still use today?<\/p>\n\n\n\n

My art, canoeing, kayaking, all outdoor things, singing<\/em><\/em><\/p>\n\n\n\n

Have you remained connected with other Huronda alumni?<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Yes, since the 50th<\/sup> annioversary.<\/em><\/em><\/p>\n\n\n\n

Do you have any fond memories or standout moments from our time at Huronda that you’d like to share?<\/p>\n\n\n\n

How has your perspective on outdoor activities and nature conservation evolved since attending Huronda?   <\/p>\n\n\n\n

 I am very eco-conscious.<\/em><\/em><\/p>\n\n\n\n

Have you returned to camp as a volunteer or in any other capacity since your time as a camper\/staff? Please elaborate.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Yes. At the 50th as well as now on the Friends of Camp Huronda committee.<\/em><\/em><\/p>\n\n\n\n

Are there any projects or initiatives you’re currently involved in that you’d like to highlight?<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Singing with my band Ambrose and the Reeds.<\/em><\/em><\/p>\n\n\n\n

How do you incorporate the values and lessons learned at Huronda into your daily life?<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Every day is a gift. My strength to persevere every day as a diabetic, especially when facing adversity, comes directly from camp experiences.<\/em><\/em><\/p>\n\n\n\n

Is there anything else you’d like to share about your journey post-Huronda?<\/p>\n\n\n\n

I want to do more to help the camp.<\/em><\/p>\n\n\n\n
