Who are the Friends of Camp Huronda?
Friends of Camp Huronda (FOCH) is an alumni association open to all past, present and future Huronda campers, staff, and families. While we have been connecting informally for years, we are now organizing events such as pub nights, music events (both live and on-line), the Huronda Axe Throwing Challenge and, with the full support of Camp Huronda leadership, the annual Alumni Weekend in June. We also have quarterly meetings that anyone is welcome to attend.
Our biggest event as an organization was the 50th anniversary celebration held at camp in September 2022. It was an overwhelming success and motivated us to continue finding ways to support Camp Huronda and our extended Camp Huronda community. Our journey has been about the joy of re-connecting with old friends, sharing our Type 1 experiences, and creating new friendships that extend beyond the shores of Lake Waseosa.
